Washington business and tax questions.
The Washington Department of Revenue is the official starting point linked here for business licensing, tax registration, and business and occupation tax information. Use its current guidance rather than a copied rate, old article, or general statement about a different business.
Before asking how a requirement applies, describe the business activity, where it happens, and the period involved. Keep a copy of relevant correspondence so the exact question can be reviewed.
Federal Way licensing questions.
Use the City of Federal Way's business-license page for local information. A state registration question and a city-license question should not be assumed to have the same answer.
